Harold "Mitch" Mitchell Director

This is Mitch's 31st year as Director at Camp Downer. Add to that his 9 years as a counselor at camps in Maine and Connecticut, and this will be his 40th year in camping. Until his retirement he worked for 36 years as a teacher, school counselor, and principal. His time away from camp is divided between Vermont, Montana, and Florida. When he's home in VT he builds furniture in his basement shop, directs musicals, and spends as much time as possible fishing. The loves of his life are his three grand daughters; Virginia, Audrey, and Brooklyn (all future Downer campers).
